SAMLab is now available in Python

We are pleased to announce that SAMLab (Submarine Acoustic Monitoring Laboratory) has been migrated to Python, marking an important step in the continued development of the software for submarine acoustic monitoring and analysis.

The new Python version provides a modern, modular and extensible architecture, including a PySide6 graphical interface and a plugin-based system for acoustic analysis.

The first public release of SAMLab is now available under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3), allowing users to study, use, modify and redistribute the software under the terms of the license.

The source code and the first release are publicly available on GitHub:

This release represents an important milestone towards making SAMLab more accessible to the research community and facilitating its future development and extension.
